Conducted a Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) of the SAPS Case Docket Management process to improve the way the SAPS undertook and manage criminal investigations resulted in recommended 52 changes to extant business operations and systems.
For the BPR project, Mpamba provided the SAPS with expert business analysis skills to review the “As-Is” models, define and develop new “To-Be” models. The Value-Add process models focused on the management of a criminal case according to the latest Standing Orders and National Instructions.
The BPR project included:
- Site visits
- Gathering and perusing National Instructions and Standing Orders
- Analysing all existing Value-Add process models
- Identifying and documenting challenges within the process
- Developing a new “To-Be” process model that addresses the challenges by documenting the system enhancements, interfaces, process changes, and new forms required for the successful management of a criminal case.
- The final presentation provided to SAPS Senior Management on conclusion in 2019
